Consideration of a request for a property preservation (Mills Act) agreement for the Roach-Porter House, a locally designated historic landmark located at 4990 Porter Hill Road, APN 494-820-05-00 and 494-820-06-00, in the R1 (Urban Residential) zone

Recommendation: Review the project to determine whether it is consistent with the Historic Preservation Ordinance.

    Motion to recommend continuing the project, if the applicant agrees, in order to allow the applicant time to reconsider the need to recess the entrance and install double doors, document the existing condition and configuration of the transom, and explore options regarding the window details, tile (replacement or restoration), and transom (adjusting to be more vertical).  

    The applicant agreed to provide detailed drawings showing the storefront and to research the condition of the transom a the next Historic Preservation Commission meeting.
